Around Litlington

The post office and corner store.

The pub. We haven't been there yet.

Another thatched roof cottage, 'Patch Cottage'.

These guys live in a field across the street from the post office and the pub, right in the middle of the village!

This is known as 'The Cage'. Apparently it was built to act as a jail, to hold criminals who were due to go to court.
It was built in the 1700s and was last used around 1840.  I suppose that to go to all the time and effort to build such
a thing, they must really have needed it! Hard to imagine being locked in there for days, with no windows.

Info plaque on The Cage.

Why yes, it really is just that pretty.
