UK Adventure Days 3 and 4

As I mentioned before, Johnny is working during the days, so the kids and I are on our own to explore the area. We've got a car, several maps, and the internet, and have been checking out some toddler drop-in activities nearby. I'm surprised and pleased by how many inexpensive drop-ins I've found in the many cute little villages around. This looks like a nice place to be a stay-at-home mom of toddlers.

Apparently Little Tykes cars are international. Aili loves them in any country!
This was at a church drop-in in Royston.

We found a fun craft drop-in in a nearby village called Steeple Morden. The moms there were really friendly and welcoming.
After crafts and cookies we went outside for singing and music.

Why play with one tambourine when you can play with four?

 Airborne!

Finally we're starting to get our jet lag problem under control. The first two nights the kids woke up around 3am, but later on we had great difficulties waking them up at naptime. We found we were having trouble with them waking each other up in the wee hours of the night because they had so much fun sharing a room! So we've put them in separate rooms until we're past the jet lag and can confidently predict they'll sleep through the night.
Last night - finally! Tomi slept through the night for twelve and a half hours. Aili woke at six with a fever, but despite that she was so sweet I didn't mind at all. It was 6am, but I was awake anyway.

This happy early morning moment brought to you by the iPad. Thank you, Apple.
