Daniel Island Children's Park

The other day the kids and I spent a few hours checking out the centre of Daniel Island (the small, exclusive neighbourhood we're living in).  It's incredibly pretty; peaceful, low-traffic, and perfectly manicured. We can definitely see the appeal of moving here and never leaving Daniel Island again!
Here are a few photos from the little waterpark and one of the piers.

This cute little spray park was completely empty!
It's designed to be the shape of Charleston in miniature, with bridges, islands, and rivers accurately located.

On a hot day there's nothing better than a spray park!

Looking out at the water beyond.

The pier. That's the Wando river, and it flows to the sea.

 People fishing and crabbing.

That's the gigantic bridge that goes to Mt. Pleasant. This photo doesn't do it justice; it's ENORMOUS!

Live oaks draped with moss along the Daniel Island trail. It's a lovely walking trail that goes for miles.
Unfortunately we haven't been able to enjoy it much because of the incredible and ferocious mosquito population!

Swinging benches along the Daniel Island Trail.
Tomio WAS with us, but sitting still for photos was just not happening.
I can always rely on Aili to sit still for me though!
