Maplewood Farms

This past weekend was a long weekend for us, as Johnny took Friday off. So we decided to go to Maplewood Farms, a lovely little petting zoo on the North Shore.
Now, Aili is a very smiley and confident baby. But when introduced to something or someone new, she puts on her Very.Serious.Face. It looks like a combination of bored, sad, angry, and disinterested, but really it's very interested in combination with serious mental processing with a just an edge of fear.
As you can tell, there was a LOT of Very.Serious.Face at the farm.

Here are some good examples of Very.Serious.Face:

And some more:

A baby goat!

Finally brave enough to reach out and touch.

What does a cow say?

Some more Very.Serious.Face:

For all the apparent effort with all the reaching, she didn't actually touch anybody.

Contemplating goats:

Very.Serious.Face at Prince the draft horse:

"Mommy, can you BELIEVE that thing??"

Baby bunnies. SO CUTE!

For all the apparent seriousness at the farm, we were all smiles and giggles on the way home!
