Words Tomi Has Learned Since We've Been In England

Tomi's at the age of the so-called 'language explosion' - where he's learning to talk and is effectively using spoken language to communicate. Well, take 'effective' with a grain of salt. Aili understands him better than anyone, and often acts as an interpreter for us.
In the week that we've been here, Tomi has added the following new words to his vocabulary:
  • Smoke detector.
  • Crying.   [These new words refer to a malfunctioning house-wide smoke alarm system that kept us hopping until we dismantled it. We hear the story about the smoke detector and how 'Aili crying' and 'Tomi crying' A LOT. It's his new favourite anecdote.]
  • Tomi. [Yes, he just started saying his own name.]
  • Trevor.   [The resident cat in the home we're living in.]
  • Ran away. [What clever Trevor does when he sees Tomi.]
  • Milkman.
  • Double decker.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Sheep.
  • Everywhere.  [As in 'Sheep everywhere!'  'Double decker everywhere!'  'Choo choo everywhere!']
It's amazing how fast they grow ... and how much they pick up!
